Northern Liberties
Long before developer Bart Blatstein created a new, sleek playground where 19th century warehouse buildings stood, musicians, artists and entrepreneurs have been transforming Northern Liberties from a former brewery district to one of the city's most attractive, interesting and inviting places. Bistros featuring diverse cuisine, bars with beers from around the city and world, bookstores, internet cafes and galleries are now the norm, and Blatstein's commercial and residential developmentincluding The Shops at Schmidts, The Piazza at Schmidts, and Liberties Walkhave created a must-see city within a city.
