While there are many summer festivals, none is quite like the 2nd Street Festival. The annual event brings together neighbors, businesses and visitors to experience Northern Liberties in a whole new way. 

Since 2008, organizers have worked with the Northern Liberties Business Owners Association and the Northern Liberties Neighborhood Association to bring awareness to the neighborhood as an attractive place for families and individuals to live and play. Come out to enjoy live music, food, games and the arts!

In/Out: Time, Pacing and Perspective in Socially-Engaged Art

Mural Arts and Moore's Graduate School & Studio Practice program are collaborating on a two-day event which will focus on case studies of socially-engaged art. The event will highlight multiple perspectives and cast a critical eye on art and social engagement at multiple levels: local, national and international. 

The Chicago Torture Justice Memorials and Immigrant Movement International Corona will be featured at the event. Chicago Torture's mission is to honor and seek justice for the survivors and families of Chicago police torture. IMI Corona is a five-year project by Tania Bruguer to help define the immigrant as a new global citizen in a post-national world.

Center City Trolley Tour

Philly is the Mural Capital of World, so why not experience some murals? Take a trolley to see a variety of murals in the heart of downtown Philadelphia. The trolley will travel to some of the most iconic pieces in Philadelphia, going from Spring Garden to Chinatown to the Avenue of the Arts. 

A professionally-trained guide will share an insider's perspective about each mural and the Mural Arts Program -- learn about the community histories and stories that informed the creation of each mural.
