Seven thousand people, including Doug E. Fresh showed up at last year's event. This year features old-school rap stalwarts Naughty By Nature, Chubb Rock, Slick Rick and Kwame and daytime stage performances produced by Fourth Wall Arts.
Battle of the Canvas

The Philly Experience: What's Your Imprint? is the theme for this year's 10-hour, outdoor, live visual art competition set against a musical backdrop featuring live peformances and DJs. Lots of vendors will be on hand selling crafts, services, and refreshments. Social change is on the agenda as attendees are encouraged to interact with participating pro and amateur artists of varying abilities.
Emerald Street Urban Farm Hoedown
Sunday, Aug. 28, 5-10 p.m.

$3 admission for unlimited salsa tasting; Free admission for hoedown
Plenty of food and beer to be had here. A salsa cookoff from 5-7 p.m. at the farm invites individuals and organizations to prepare their best for attendees to sample and vote on. Local bands Andrew Gray, Raffa and Rainer and the Honeywatts provide music.
