Two dozen languages are spoken in Philadelphia's Feltonville neighborhood, a microcosm of the region's changing make-up. The Mt. Airy neighborhood has been a widely recognized model of integration and continues to be one of the most dynamic examples of Philly's embracing of diversity. There are more foreign-born residents here than ever, a fact not limited to the City--many suburban communities in Bucks and Montgomery counties and Southern New Jersey are growing thanks to new faces and ideas. Universities, the life sciences industry and food culture have also helped make Greater Philadelphia a hotbed for international talent. Diversity, however, spans more than just racial or ethnic lines. History, culture, education, and business here each have been strengthened by diverse offerings, ideas and people.
