North Philadelphia

Once an industrial center and the hub of African-American culture in the city, North Philadelphia is now home to some of the most important neighborhood innovation in the region. Areas like Northern Liberties, Brewerytown, Strawberry Mansion and Francisville have seen large scale redevelopment. Temple University and LaSalle University bring tens of thousands students here annually and are an integral part of initiating and sustaining the ongoing revitalization here.
