It's not too late to check out the latest exhibit at The Freedom Gallery for Girls. Girl Power! artwork supports the strength, freedom and rights of girls impacted by modern day slavery. Fifty percent of the proceeds will be donated to Room To Read, The Sanar Institute and APNE AAP, which serve the rights of girls through prevention, advocacy and restoration services. The exhibit features 13 different artists, three arts-based projects and work by local youth.

On the Ground: Anti-Violence Gospel Night

The Kingsessing Fifth Division Community of Neighbors (K5DCN) is hosting an anti-violence gospel night. The event will feature John Graves III, Heaven Bound Gospel Singers and the Church of Christian Compassion. The evening will honor the legendary Dr. Evelyn Graves, founder and director at Evelyn Graves Drama Production, which produced multi-disciplinary theatre geared towards youth and their families since 1971. Dr. Graves was recently honored for exemplary service to the community: the 5400-5500 block of Chester Ave. was dubbed "Dr. Evelyn Graves Way." #OnTheGroundPhilly
