Twenty men who are engaging and reshaping Philadelphia and Detroit have been recognized as 2012 winners of the BME (prounounced "be me") Leadership Award, and
BME (Black Male Engagement) is providing $443,000 in funding to accelerate their work.
Greg Corbin, the visionary founder of the award-winning and transformational
Philly Youth Poetry Movement, is one of those awardees and he is pursuing $25,000 to launch The Legacy Project, a one-man theatrical performance and series of community workshops that explore the multi-layered experience of black men.
