Philadelphia's
Archedream for Humankind has performed all over the world, at the TED conference in San Francisco, in Taiwan, at Burning Man, at Red Rocks and at sold-out venues in New York City.
Still, the archetypal blacklight mask dance and theater company, which also performs workshops, is relatively unknown locally. The group set out to change that last week with a Friend-Raiser at its new South Philly studio at 1324 Mifflin St.
The troupe employs archetypal characters that perform dreams to personify important issues around anger, death, love and war. UV light only accentuates the supernatural aspect of its performance, which we captured in this slideshow.
