Forget the milk and cookies, this year its beer and bites for Santa on Passyunk Avenue. Don your complimentary Santa or Elf hat as you enjoy $4 holiday-themed cocktails and $5 bar bites at 14 local bars including Birra, Stateside, Pub on Passyunk East and a fairly new addition to the avenue, Garage.

The pub crawl begins at South Philly Bar and Grille (5:30 - 7:30 p.m.); pick up your Santa’s Sipping Stamp Card and later on head to Noir (9:30 p.m.) for stamp card collection. Each purchase earns a stamp and five stamps or more enters you to win a gift certificate prize package valued at $350. If that isn’t enough incentive, proceeds benefit local families in need.

Wines of the American Revolution

History class would have been much better with a glass of wine — that's exactly the concept behind Dave Bonette’s Wines of the American Revolution. Come learn about the founding fathers while drinking the same wines they did. 

Hosted by the Pinot Boutique, the class will feature wines from the years 1774 to 1778. Don’t miss out on a historical journey that will please your brain and taste buds alike.

No Daleks allowed at the annual Doctor Who Fan Film Festival. Think you know all there is to know about Doctor Who? Then the trivia contest is for you. Come on out in costume and you might just win the costume contest. There will also be photo opportunities in front of a full-sized Tardis replica, balloon characters and prizes. 

The highlight of the event is the fan films — over a dozen fan-created, acted, and produced projects. You can join the actors, writers and crews afterwards to discuss their work.
