Looking to try your hand (and feet!) at something new? Check out Salsa Night for a free lesson before a few hours of dancing! The class will be provided by Philadelphia Dance Foundation Executive Director Jackie Fisher at 7 p.m. Live music from Elvis Bonilla Y Su Orquesta and special guests starts at 7:30 p.m. This particular Salsa Night is dedicated to Edison High's longtime music teacher Kip Morris, who significantly contributed to the growth of Philly's salsa music scene. Siempre Salsa Philly and the
Philadelphia Dance Foundation.

2nd Annual Community Day

Working together, Frankford can make the Deni Playground a safe haven. Celebrate this goal at the 2nd Annual Community Day. Hosted by the
Ray of Hope Project and the Neighbors of Frankford, the event will feature all sorts of family-friendly activities. Various city agencies will be on hand with info and resources, children can receive school supplies and backpacks, there will be food, music and more! Donations of school supplies, water, backpacks, and snacks are welcome. #OnTheGroundPhilly

Go Fishing Day

PennFuture and the
Wissahickon Environmental Center are hosting a fishing day in celebration of the report
Swimming Upstream from the
National Wildlife Federation. Learn about the impact climate change has on our fishing heritage from Tony Croasdale, an environmental educator at the Wissahickon Environmental Center. For those of you who are out of practice, fear not! Fishing demonstrations will be available, along with a limited number of rods. It is recommended that participants bring water and fishing supplies. There will be giveaways, snacks and a raffle for two PennFuture family memberships.
