Ignite Philly for their 11th event highlighting great ideas coming to life in Philadelphia.
Ignite is worldwide network that educates and entertains people in five-minute bursts. Join as some of Philly's best and brightest take the stage at Johnny Brenda's to deliver lightening fast presentations consisting of 20 slides, at 15 seconds per slide. The night promises to be filled with awesome and inspiring stories of happenings all around the city.
Innovators on the docket include Jen Childs, co-founder and artistic director of
1812 Productions; Mark Headd, Chief Data Officer of Philadelphia; and Drew Becher, President of the

Weavers Way presents Vegan Fest

Put down that burger (unless it's a veggie burger, of course) and come see how much fun meat-free can be. Hosted by the community-owned market,
Weavers Way Vegan Fest is back for another year, offering lots of delicious, free vegan food. For the main event, head to the Mt. Airy location where vegan themed pop-up lounges will boast live music, grilling and loads of information on a plant-based diet. And don't forget to check out the outdoor marketplace featuring vegan jewelry, soaps and more.
You can also head to the Chestnut Hill location for a variety of free samples and demos -- live music will accompany a full vegan hot bar and vegan taco special.
