Philadelphia Photo Arts Center invites everyone in the city is invited to take a picture of anything -- so long as it is taken on Oct. 28 and within the city limits. Shooters have until Oct. 31 to select their favorite picture and upload it to the Philly Photo website. On Nov. 10, PPAC will host a Philly Photo Day Opening Reception from 6-9 p.m. at the group's space at 1400 N. American St. Reprints of all images will be available for $25.
Philadelphia Film Festival Closing Night Extravaganza

A great way to experience the best of the Philadelphia Film Festival, in one action-packed evening. First, an awards ceremony and screening of The Descendants starting at 7 p.m. at the Zellerbach Theatre. Jury and Audience Award winners will be announced, followed by the film film starring George Clooney. After that, head over to the closing night party, the Nightmare on 12th Street Hallloween Costume Party, which will offer prizes for those best dressed as their favorite movie character. Complimentary drinks and snacks and DJ Tommy Up to be had.
