Support the
Delaware Center for Horticulture's Urban Agriculture Program by volunteering at its third annual Crop Mob, which lets you get dirty in public, helping mulch, prune berry bushes, remove protective plastic, plant seeds and transplant seedlings at this 100 percent drip-irrigated, no-till planting, eco-friendly farm. Lunch is provided.
Sat., March 31, 6-11:30 p.m.
The Philadelphia Beard & Mustache Club is organizing this inaugural event, the first official regional competition of the North American Competitive Beard & Mustache Alliance. There are
more than a dozen categories, from freestyle mustache to hipster beard. It will also include live music from Animal Haus and entertainment from The Olde City Sideshow.
Sun., April 1, 11 a.m.-4 p.m.
Fair Food and the Pennsylvania Association for Sustainable Agriculture are bringing together an astonishing diversity of products from more than 100 regional farmers, food producers, artisanal food businesses and other providers of sustainable goods for this inaugural event, which is part education, part celebration and mostly delicious. Try "zip code" honey, local cheeses and cured meats and smal batch-ice creams. An
exclusive wholesale buyers reception is set for 4:30-6 p.m.
