Party Like It's 1812: Win Tickets for Wednesday's Philadelphia Orchestra Tchaikovsky/Fireworks Show

There are few performances that can compare to the Philadelphia Orchestra's Tchaikovsky Spectacular, complete with fireworks, in the open air of the Mann Center for the Performing Arts in West Philly. We've got an early Independence Day treat for you -- a pair of free tickets for the 8 p.m. show on Wednesday, June 29, which includes the famed composer's 1812 Overture.

- Just drop us an email at [email protected] with the year "1812" in the subject line. Be sure your full name is included in the body of the message.

Winners will receive a pair of tickets and be notified on Wednesday morning. Tickets will be held under the winner's name at the Mann box office and can be picked up there starting at 6 p.m. the day of the show. Supplies are limited and promotion ends 11:59 p.m. on Tuesday, June 28, so hurry up to party like it's 1812!

Just last week the Orchestra announced $11.2 million in outright gifts and pledges and an additional $16.3 million pledged as challenge grants -- a major feat two months after filing for bankruptcy protection. Award-winning Curtis Institute of Music student Nadir Khashimov, a young virtuoso violinist, makes his Mann debut, as does conductor Vasily Petrenko. Program features Romeo and Juliet-Overture Fantasy, Violin Concerto in D, Sleeping Beauty Ballet Suite, and Overture 1812.
