Dance on the Falls Bridge
Saturday, September 7 (rain date: Sept. 14)
8 p.m. - midnight
4300 Kelly Drive
$40-$50
"Dance on the Falls Bridge" is a romantic summer soiree -- the idea for the signature event was born in a planning meeting three years ago as a way to raise the area's regional profile and spur patronage of local businesses.
Drawing more than 500 attendees in past years, the elegant event features live music; food, wine and beer; a photo booth; a cigar bar; and group dancing lessons. Local food trucks will also attend.
This year, the
Fairmount Park Historic Preservation Trust and the
Fairmount Park Conservancy have partnered with the
East Falls Development Corporation for the Dance. A silent auction will benefit all three groups.
Tickets include admission, dance lessons, and alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages. There is a discounted group rate of $350 for 10 tickets. Single tickets can be purchased for $40 until August 31; they are then $50.

This year, you can purchase a Greencard, an all-inclusive festival package that includes a $10 food credit for any food truck; two beers at the Greenfest beer garden; a "2013 Greenfest Philly" shirt printed on fabric made from plastic bottles; a Greenfest Philly bottle opener made from recycled plastic; a Clean Air Council Reusable Bag; exhibitor discounts; and raffle entries.
The approximate value of the package is $50, but it's available for only $25 online (or $30 day-of).
