Interested in 3-D printing? Looking to learn how to turn those rad ideas into reality? Head over to the Franklin Institute to learn how to let your imagination run wild. For those not in the know, 3-D printing is the process of creating a physical object with a special machine that prints tiny layers on top of each other to create a 3-D object. This workshop is for folks over 15; children ages 11-14 years old may come if joined by a supervising adult. Please note, a laptop is needed for this workshop. You may either bring your own or rent one for $20.

Students spent time this season working with Rachel Ishikawa and Won Kyoung Lee at AIA's Mind Full Creations Youth Arts Workshop. The students explored the topics of health, self care and personal growth, all through art. Explore the students' artwork and celebrate their accomplishments! #OnTheGroundPhilly

Philly S.E.E.D. Festival

If you're looking for somewhere to explore vegan food culture, look no further. Philly's first vegan craft, food and beer festival is happening this week. S.E.E.D (Sustainable Everday Edibles and Drinkables) is a fully vegan festival, pulling in Philly's best restaurants, breweries and vendors. Sample offerings from local restaurants while enjoying beer from one of the 25-plus attending breweries. Be sure to stop by the marketplace which will feature 15 to 20 vendors selling vegan goods. And as an added bonus, a portion of the festival's proceeds will be donated to the Humane League of Philadelphia.
