Please Touch Museum is announcing the arrival of warmer weather with a full day of hands-on programming. The whole family can enjoy musical performances, visits from the Very Hungry Caterpillar, kite and butterfly making, and more!

Spark Philadelphia's Annual Sugar Rush

If you're looking for something fun to do while doing something good, check out
Spark Philadelphia's Sugar Rush. Top local chefs will present a variety of small bites that have been perfectly paired with local beers and wines. Experience the thrill of winning a bid at the silent auction, where you can snag great items and unique experiences. Proceeds go towards supporting Spark's work with middle school youth in Philadelphia. The organization created over 160 apprenticeships in 2013 and 2014, all helping to prepare students for success in high school and reduce the city's dropout rate.

Building Philadelphia: Architecture, History + Politics

If you've ever wondered about how Philadelphia came to be, this 10-part series is for you! The programs looks at the history of the city through the lenses of politics, economics and design. Learn from some of the best local architects, urban planners, archaeologists and historians as they guide lectures on major urban planning projects. Those who attend 8-plus talks are invited to attend two additional sessions in order to become certified as a volunteer guide for the
Philadelphia Center for Architecture and the
Preservation Alliance of Greater Philadelphia.
