LadyHacks, which follows the civic hackathon model, is a place for women of all skill levels to work together on technology-based projects. The emphasis is not only on collaboration but also on creating projects for the greater good. The event kicks off Friday night and resumes Saturday morning. The organizers recognize the imprecision of language, and welcome all those who identify as women.

The Philadelphia Foundation community art gallery has partnered with
Valley Youth House's Art @ program to present a seventy-piece showcase of youth artwork. The show explores the theme of being "both here and there," with the youth artists exploring their pasts through artwork. The Art @ program works to encourage young people in the Philadelphia area foster-care system to express themselves creatively.

Annual Sapsucker Festival

Enjoy learning about the production of maple sugar with tree-tapping demonstrations, kids' games and crafts, and other family-friendly activities! The historic John James Audubon Home will be open for viewing of his artwork. There will also be a pancake breakfast during the festival that costs $5 per person.
