Lansdowne
Once a tourist attraction for Philadelphia's wealthy, this small town (1.2 square miles) is now home for many of those families' descendants. Home to vibrant arts organizations like the Symphony Orchestra, Celebration Theater, Lansdowne Folk Club and Lansdowne Arts Festival, there is rarely a shortage of things to do here. Civic engagement is also centerstage in Lansdowne, where walkability and easy access to Philadelphia have helped entrepreneurship come back to its business corridor.
